Apple iPhone 5 will be going slimmer by utilising the new in-cell touch panel technology from Sharp and Toshiba. Apple’s new iPhone is expected to be released in the market around October, third quarter in 2012. DigiTimes reported that it is likely to adopt in-cell touch panels, according to sources in Apple’s supply chain. The technology works by integrating the touch sensors with the screen itself which will then remove the need for extra sensors and glass.
