It’s been a few days since the last Samsung Galaxy SIII rumor; A picture was posted 4 days ago here and it seems to have died down a bit until a new rumor came up that Galaxy SIII will be Samsung’s first Quad Core Exynos phone.
According to Cnet UK quoting Korea Times, the Exynos 4412 chip will boast a 32-nanometer chipset with four ARM Cortex-A9 cores. The CPU frequency is slated to be up to 1.5GHz. The Exynos chipset is Samsung’s own in-bred chipset in which Samsung Galaxy SII (the non-G version) and also the Galaxy Note were its known users. Samsung isn’t alone in joining the quad core fray with HTC One X and Huawei Ascend D Quad joining along the bandwagon.
Next up, The Verge reported that a Korean newspaper leaked the release dates for Galaxy SIII. to the fact that Kim Young-Ha, Samsung’s Greater China President was quoted as saying that the launch of Samsung’s next flagship phone will be hastened from May to April, of around 1 month’s time. With this fact, Samsung ups the ante to challenge HTC’s One X release date which is slated to be on April too (in the UK).
Meanwhile, Android Police recently debunked another new Galaxy SIII image leak which has eerie similarities with HTC One X’s capacitive touch buttons and a Galaxy Player “look”. Check out the image after the break.
